The Beginning
There is a moment — scientists call it "limerence," the neurochemical flood of falling — when a person becomes the axis around which your entire world rotates. For me, that moment had your name on it. March 2025. I remember the exact quality of the light.

Learning You
Every person you love teaches you a new language. Yours is made of small gestures — the way you laugh before the punchline lands, the way you go quiet when something moves you. I have been a devoted student of the language of Anita ever since.
Summer 2025
Choosing You, Again
The neuroscientist Arthur Aron found that couples who share novel experiences together sustain romantic love far longer than those who don't. But I don't need a study. I just know that every new thing I discover — a city, a song, an idea — my first thought is: Anita would love this.

Still Here
Shah Jahan built the Taj Mahal in 22 years. He spent his treasury. He gave his life's work to a monument that would outlast him. I understand him now. Not because I am building in marble — but because I know what it is to want someone to exist in the world permanently, beautifully, undeniably.
